Nappi has devoted his entire career to perfecting the art of comfort in denim and it was clear that comfort - both fashionably and entrepreneurial - is something Nappi holds close

When Danny Nappi bought expensive clothing only to take it apart, then put it back together again, some of his family members questioned his sanity. "I always liked to fix things and make things," said the self-taught clothing designer, who grew up in South Jordan. "That's kind of how my mind works. With clothing it was perfect because I got to fix problems, take things apart, see the construction, put it back together and make cool unique things."

Nappi Clothing has taken on a life on its own both locally and around the country. Having a must-own jean line that's been doing very well on the west coast, as well as shirts and scarves that have become a part of the signature ensemble. They've found their way to television with shows like CSI, and even a main line of clothing for local singer David Archuleta and his backing lineup.

Salt Lake City’s very own Danny Nappi is the creative designer behind the new Nappi Miller Track girl uniforms. Earlier this week Nappi clothing became the sole sponsor and outfitter for the new Nappi Miller Track girls.

He's taking it all to LA for Fashion Week. "It's pretty much like getting your film into Sundance: the national exposure, press, celebrities," he said.

Nappi already has celebrities wearing his clothes: Lance Bass, AJ Buckley and JK Simmons. It's also David Archuleta's exclusive brand while on tour.

For an up-and-coming designer, Nappi has unique credentials. First, the obvious: His clothing line is based out of Salt Lake City, not a fashion hotbed such as Los Angeles or New York
